StarIsis serves many state and federal clients nationwide and is registered to do business in the states of Ohio, Kentucky, Iowa, Idaho, Connecticut, and Vermont. StarIsis is also registered with several State Transportation agencies in the country.

StarIsis is geared up to provide services in the areas of transportation asset management, risk management, TAM financial planning, performance management, including training in each of these areas to federal, state and local transportation agencies nationwide. StarIsis also routinely partners with a variety of clients in the private sector in providing services to federal, state and local clients in the above areas.

Federal Government
StarIsis routinely works with several federal agencies, including the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), Federal Railroad Administration (FRA), National Highway Institute (NHI), National Academy of Sciences (NAS), the Transportation Research Board (TRB), and the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO).

Federal Highway Administration
StarIsis has performed numerous projects for the Federal Highway Administration in the areas of Transportation Asset Management, Transportation Risk Management, Financial Planning for Transportation Asset Management, Gap Analysis for Transportation Asset Management for several state DOTs, and Performance Management.

Federal Railroad Administration
StarIsis has closely worked with the FRA in the establishment and implementation of innovative practices associated with Railroad and DOT interactions on transportation projects.

National Highway Institute
StarIsis worked with the National Highway Institute in delivering risk management training to personnel at various levels in several state transportation agencies including:

  • Virginia
  • Vermont

StarIsis was intimately involved in the development of a training course for the preparation of financial plans for Transportation Asset Management.

National Academy of Sciences

StarIsis has assisted the National Academies in the completion of several research projects in the areas of strategic planning, innovative approaches to Railroad-DOT coordination, establishment of a multi-agency and railroad Community of Interest, nationwide dissemination and implementation of such innovative practices through a variety of forums, and Asset Valuation. StarIsis is currently working with the Transportation Research Board in the nationwide implementation of the AASHTO Risk Guide.

American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials
StarIsis has worked with AASHTO and its subcommittees on numerous projects including, the nationwide dissemination of innovative practices in transportation, preparation of strategic plans, and preparation of the Risk Management Guide for the Federal Highway Administration – adopted by AASHTO, among others.

StarIsis has worked with numerous state transportation agencies in the areas of transportation asset management, risk management, risk management training, financial planning for TAMs, federally compliant Transportation Asset Management Plan preparation, Gap Analysis for TAM, compiling best practices in these areas, Railroad-DOT Coordination, and many other related projects. Key states where StarIsis has been involved include: Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, Minnesota, Maine, Nevada, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, Rhode Island, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin.

StarIsis has helped develop federally compliant Transportation Asset Management Plans for Connecticut, Idaho, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, New Mexico, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Puerto Rico.
